Popular Nigerian skitmaker and content creator, Aloma Isaac Junior, widely known as Zicsaloma, has shared a candid account of what he describes as his biggest financial regret — purchasing a luxury Range Rover Sport.
Speaking during an interview with Pulse, the comedian revealed that he bought the high-end vehicle for over ₦30 million, drawn by the prestige and comfort associated with owning such a luxury car in Nigeria. However, what initially felt like a dream purchase quickly turned into a stressful and expensive ordeal.
According to Zicsaloma, the car developed serious mechanical faults shortly after purchase. In an attempt to keep it running, he reportedly spent close to ₦10 million on repairs within just three to four months. Despite the heavy investment, the vehicle continued to break down, making ownership increasingly frustrating.
The constant mechanical issues eventually became overwhelming, forcing him to cut his losses. With no lasting solution in sight, Zicsaloma decided to sell the car at a much lower price than he paid for it. He disclosed that the Range Rover was eventually sold for ₦11 million — a huge financial loss considering both the purchase price and repair costs.
Reflecting on the experience, the skitmaker admitted that the decision felt like throwing away his hard-earned money. In his words, the transaction left him with barely any return, coupled with months of stress and disappointment.
Zicsaloma’s story serves as a cautionary tale for aspiring luxury car owners, highlighting the hidden costs that can come with maintaining high-end vehicles, especially in environments where spare parts and expert maintenance may be challenging to access.
