Nigerian comedian and content creator Nasiru Lawal, widely known as Nasboi, has opened up about his true feelings toward fame and the entertainment industry.
Sharing his thoughts on social media, the skitmaker revealed that he values financial stability far more than public recognition. According to him, fame often comes with overwhelming pressure, and it is an experience he would prefer not to repeat in another lifetime.
Nasboi disclosed that he has set a personal financial goal that will determine how long he intends to stay in the limelight. Once he amasses ₦5 billion, he plans to step back from creating skits, making music, acting, and any other entertainment-related commitments. His reason, he explained, is the need for peace of mind after years of constant creative work and the stress that accompanies celebrity life.
In his words:
“I will always choose money over being famous. I don’t ever want to experience this kind of pressure again in another life. Once I hit ₦5 billion, I’m done—no more skits, no music, no acting. I just want my mind to rest.”
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Nigerian singer Omah Lay has revealed why he declined a recent offer from superstar Davido to collaborate on a new song.
Speaking during a podcast interview, the 28-year-old artist explained that the request came shortly after the success of their previous collaboration, “With You.” However, he chose to turn it down because he wanted to focus on carving out his own direction and personal artistic journey at that time.
Omah Lay emphasized that the decision was not based on any disagreement but rather on a desire to prioritize his growth and creative independence.
