Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has publicly accused the founder of Liberation City Church in Ojodu Berger, Pastor Chris Okafor, of allegedly manipulating her into ending her marriage and causing deep emotional and personal turmoil in her life. In an emotional video that has since gone viral on social media, the actress tearfully claimed that her involvement with the pastor left her devastated and stripped of stability, peace, and direction.
According to Ogala, her alleged relationship with the Lagos-based cleric began in 2017 and gradually became deeply personal. She claimed that during this period, she was persuaded to leave her husband based on assurances that the pastor intended to marry her. The actress alleged that she made significant sacrifices as a result of these promises, only to later discover that the pastor had reportedly become engaged to another woman.
Ogala further alleged that the relationship took a severe toll on her physical and emotional wellbeing. She claimed to have suffered miscarriages during the period and stated that her health has never been the same since. In addition, she linked the mysterious death of her younger brother to the emotional distress she experienced, describing her life as having spiraled downward after her involvement with the pastor. She also accused him of violating her trust by allegedly sharing private and intimate materials without her consent, a claim that has sparked outrage and concern online.
Her emotional outburst came shortly after a video surfaced online showing Pastor Okafor proposing to another woman at what appeared to be a private celebration attended by close friends and family. The timing of the engagement video, which became public just hours before Ogala released her own recording, intensified the controversy. In her statement, the actress expressed feelings of betrayal and trauma, insisting that she had been wronged and that the pain she endured should not be ignored.
