Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has revealed that travelling long distances by road within Nigeria is something she deliberately avoids, except for very short journeys such as trips from Lagos to Ibadan.
Speaking during a recent media interaction, the veteran actress shared her personal travel preferences and the reasons behind them. According to her, while she enjoys road trips when she is outside the country, the situation is very different when she is within Nigeria.
Shaffy Bello explained that she feels more comfortable using air or water transportation locally. She attributed this decision to concerns about road conditions, infrastructure, and overall safety, noting that these factors make long road journeys stressful for her. Because of this, she prefers options that allow her to travel with greater peace of mind.
The actress also admitted that her stance on road travel has had an impact on her social life. She disclosed that some people no longer invite her to events or outings that involve spending several hours on the road, knowing she is unlikely to attend.
Despite this, Shaffy Bello clarified that she can make exceptions in rare cases. If the person she is visiting is extremely important to her, she may consider travelling by road within Nigeria. However, she emphasized that her limit is Ibadan, stressing that any destination beyond that distance is simply not an option for her.
Overall, the actress made it clear that her choices are guided by comfort and safety, and she sees nothing wrong with prioritizing her well-being when deciding how to travel.
