The Governor of Niger State, Umaru Bago, has terminated the appointments of all his special advisers in a decisive move aimed at restructuring his administration and enhancing governance efficiency.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, during Governor Bago’s first State Executive Council meeting with newly sworn-in commissioners at the Government House in Minna. Speaking to council members, the governor explained that the decision was strategic, emphasizing that it was not intended as a punitive measure against the affected advisers.
