Inter Miami have officially announced that legendary striker Luis Suárez has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the conclusion of the 2026 Major League Soccer season. The decision secures the future of one of the league’s most influential players and underlines the club’s ambition to remain a dominant force in MLS.
Suárez arrived in Miami ahead of the 2024 campaign and quickly became a cornerstone of the team’s rise. His impact was immediate and historic, as he played a central role in a record-setting season that saw Inter Miami capture their first-ever Supporters’ Shield while also establishing a new MLS single-season points record.
The Uruguayan forward carried his momentum into the 2025 season, maintaining elite performance levels across domestic and international competitions. Over the course of 50 matches in all tournaments, Suárez registered 17 goals and 17 assists, helping Inter Miami secure both the Eastern Conference Championship and the MLS Cup. On the global stage, he was equally influential, guiding the club to the Round of 16 at the expanded FIFA Club World Cup and a semifinal appearance in the Concacaf Champions Cup.
