Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday paid a condolence visit to Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, following the death of the state’s Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
Governor Fubara visited his Bayelsa counterpart at the Government House in Yenagoa, where he expressed his sympathy and solidarity with the government and people of Bayelsa State over the painful loss. The visit came shortly after Fubara released an official condolence message mourning the sudden passing of the former senator and deputy governor.
In his message, Fubara described Ewhrudjakpo as a distinguished leader who lived an exemplary life marked by service, integrity, and commitment both in public office and private life. He conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Rivers State Government and its people, noting that the loss had deeply affected not only Bayelsa State but neighbouring states as well.
