Nigerian music mogul Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, has sounded a clear warning to an 𝕏 user who has been impersonating him.
According to Gistlord, the fake account recently shared a post advertising a supposed giveaway while using Don Jazzy’s name and photo. The deceptive message reportedly misled many unsuspecting users who believed it came from the Mavin Records boss.
Reacting from his verified 𝕏 account, Don Jazzy publicly cautioned the impersonator, urging them to stop misleading people and to conduct any charitable activities using their real identity. He emphasized that hiding behind his name makes the account appear suspicious and unethical.
He further warned that impersonation carries legal consequences and that the operator should not claim harassment if law enforcement becomes involved.
His message read:
“Good evening sir/ma. Don’t you see how using my name and image on this account looks dodgy? You can do your giveaways with your own name and pic if you really want to help people. Don’t say they are bullying you if you get arrested o. I come in peace.”
Meanwhile, in a separate update, Don Jazzy has spoken once again about why he cannot reunite with his ex-wife, Michelle Jackson.
As Gistlord previously reported, Don Jazzy revealed in 2021 that he had once been married, but the relationship ended because his dedication to building his music career left little room for the marriage to thrive. He explained that his ambition created a disconnect in the relationship, ultimately leading to their separation two years after tying the knot.
The music executive admitted that while he still respects his ex-wife, he believes their lives have moved in different directions, making reconciliation unlikely.
